Lida is an attractive girl, but her eyes are a dead giveaway of her Gangrel heritage.
Once a prostitute in the employ of the Brujah Monique, Lida was given over to Hector when the elder Gangrel claimed New Avalon as his Domain in order to resolve a dispute the two had. Lida was less than cooperative with Hector when this happened, so he pinned her down, ripped out her tongue and then Embraced and eventually brought her under the Blood Bond in order to punish her for her insolance. She was freed from this slavery when Michelle Rauchete took New Avalon from Hector in the name of the Camarilla and allowed Lida to destroy her tyrannical Sire. Because of this, Lida has always been a loyal ally to Michelle and served as New Avalon's Scourge during the reign of the former Prince and remains so under Prince Natalia.
Michelle had taught Lida sign language in the years the two have known each other, so that she can communicate to some degree with others, and this remains her primary form of communication.
She was once rather close to David, who acted as a protective older brother to her, but there has been a rift over the years and neither speak very often anymore. Nobody really knows the details of their falling out and both of them refuse to comment on the matter. They will not even go so far as to confirm or deny that there has been a falling out and few push the issue since both David and Lida are well known for their martial abilities.
